Foo’s Fabulous Frozen Custard

Yesterday I got the chance to visitFoo’s Fabulous Frozen Custard. It’s located on the NE corner of 95th and Mission in Leawood, KS.

They serve coffee, sandwiches, very tasty custard and Christopher Elbow Chocolates.

Now, as some of you might know, I am fond of chocolate. But Christopher Elbow Chocolates? Best in the KC area. Forget your Russell Stovers and Andres, Christopher Elbow is smooth, delicious and has fun flavors. Pardon me, I need to go inhale the fumes from the chocolates I got yesterday…

*ahem*

Their sandwiches are pretty basic, but good. They use Great Harvest bread, conveniently baked about 12 streets due north of Foo’s. I had a ham sandwich and it had about an inch of ham on it. You will not be hungry when you leave Foo’s if you get a sandwich!

I highly recommend a visit to Foo’s if you are in JoCo. I’m definitely planning on making several return visits (seriously, not JUST because of the presence of Christopher Elbow chocolates).

  1. I thoroughly agree with your assessment of Foo’s. Regrettably, you failed to mention that the presence of your Grandmother on the occasion of your Foo’s visit may have added a certain ‘sparkle’, which could (or not) have colored your enthusiasm for the Foo’s products. I know the presence of my granddaughter increased the ‘spice’ in my soup. Such a delight!
    The end.

    1. Excellent point.

Dear World: Grandma was with me and purchased my 4″ high ham and cheese sandwich. I am fully confident that if she had not, it would have only been 3″ high. It also would not have sparkled.

      😉
